Protected Species

Description

This is based off a scene in the novel with some minor adjustment to make a cover.
The basic “canvas” is of a group pointing toward a distant port city at slightly lower elevation. They have just finished a sharp, unexpected skirmish against two local creatures, which are dead at their feet. There are three important figures: the protagonist, Bey (a “trog”), and a local lieutenant in charge of the caravan we see behind them. The caravan is comprised of both VERY old and stripped down vehicles which they call “rads”, “wind rads” (retooled to be powered by wind rotors—images will follow) and local draft animals. In my cover I have the rad sails are down do to a super strong storm moving towards the coastal town.
Book cover illustration called “Protected Species” a sequel to “Endangered Species”
