Description
Book cover for Robert Buettner’s alternate history of WWII. This is a Horten XVIII, a six-jet flying wing. The Germans really were developing this plane. It’s uncannily similar to the B-2 stealth bomber, and years, if not decades, ahead of its time. Germany actually did develop, and flew the Horten 229 the twin engine fighter “little brother”. The one on the cover is carrying a atom bomb for NYC in 1945.
